'Yosemite' is epic—an homage to national parks, nature, love lost, love found. We create a big sound by recording in live groups. We tracked 4 instruments together, and then each picked up a new instrument and played all those together. We recorded it at Restoration Sound in Brooklyn. It is the first of 7 singles we plan to release over the next half year. We plan to promote with substantial meta/spotify ad budget and an aggressive social media strategy. We love this song. Hope you do too :)
Lyrics
Night is home
It’s where my shadow likes to go
Out for a wander I don’t know
Tall and sure
They say the sun has gone
To Yosemite
Is there a line I wouldn’t cross if you would ask me
Is there a purpose to the cairns and the void
And every time I say goodbye if you would kiss me
I would kiss you slow
Folding stars
I like the way she shouts her name
Off the balcony
In my arms
I’ll never see the light
I’ll never see that look again as she fades
Floating away
Is there a line I wouldn’t cross if you would ask me
Is there a purpose to the cairns and the void
And every time I say goodbye if you would kiss me
I would kiss you slow
Mmm Mmm Mmm Mmm
Festering faults
Foundering hearts, the sound, the sound
In my arms
Folding stars
Yosemite
Yosemite
Is there a line I wouldn’t cross if you would ask me
Is there a purpose to the cairns and the void
And every time I say goodbye if you would kiss me
I would kiss you slow
Is there a line I wouldn’t cross if you would ask me
Is there a purpose to the cairns and the void
And every time I say goodbye if you would kiss me
I would kiss you slow
Is there a line I wouldn’t cross if you would ask me
Is there a purpose to the canyons and the void
And every time I say goodbye if you would kiss me
I would kiss you
I would kiss you
I would kiss you slow
